Welcome to Kaysersberg in Alsace!
Situated on the famous Alsace Wine Route, 10km from Colmar, come and discover the town of Kaysersberg!
Go for a walk and look up: you'll be seduced by its remarkable historical treasures: the Church of the Holy Cross with its superb carved wooden altarpiece, its fortified bridge over the river Weiss, the ramparts and medieval towers, its richly decorated half-timbered houses from different centuries and also the birthplace of Albert Schweitzer, a native of Kaysersberg who won the Nobel Peace Prize in 1952, now the Schweitzer Center.
Kaysersberg also offers a wide range of cycling and walking routes between vineyards and mountains. Maps and guides are available at the tourist office.
Stop off at one of our creative craftsmen, and sample local produce at our local shops. Don't miss a visit to one of your independent winegrowers, with a tasting of their wines, particularly the Grand Cru Schlossberg.
Put down your suitcases and enjoy the many events taking place throughout the year: the Easter market and preludes, the role-playing festival, the welcome drink for summer visitors, folk dances, night markets, the potters' market, the authentic Christmas market, treasure hunts, treasure hunts and fun walks for families.
Take a walk up to the remains of the castle overlooking the imperial town. From the top of its keep, you can enjoy a panoramic view of the splendours of Kaysersberg.
Did you know? Kaysersberg was voted "France's favourite village" in 2017, a flagship programme presented by Stéphane Bern on the French channel France 3, which highlights the town's rich heritage.
