Kuhlendorf

The village of Kuhlendorf, located next to Betschdorf and near Soultz-sous-Forêts, has the only half-timbered church in Northern Alsace. It dates from 1820 and is a listed building. The building served not only as a church but also as a school at the back. A classroom with a teacher's flat on the first floor was built there. Push open the old school door and go inside to see the original furniture.

A few steps away, you can admire the "Wachthiesel", a 19th century timber-framed guardhouse.

You can enjoy a picnic area and games at the exit of the village in the direction of Soultz-sous-Forêts.
