Hostel Haag

The farm inn on the GR5 route offers overnight accommodation and meals, mountain refuge-style … before you climb the Grand Ballon, almost one mile high.
Road access along the Peaks Route near the Grand Ballon. Via the Thann Valley, access via Willer-sur-Thur and the Grand Ballon or the forest route from Geishouse.
Access on foot: Geishouse (2h) - Linthal (3h)
Hiking: Grand Ballon (25 min) - Storckenkopf (20 min) - Ballon Lake (30 min) - Roedelen (40 min) - Markstein (1 hour 30 minutes).
Meals: Fleischschnackas, hotpot, Munster and Leek Tart + raw vegetables, homemade flan, cream cheese with Kirsch, and blackcurrant tart. The inn seats 40 guests.
Summer leisure pursuits: fishing in Ballon Lake (2/3 mile), mountain bike circuits.
Winter leisure pursuits: crosscountry skiing onsite, snowshoes, etc.

Inaccessible by car in winter.
