The Sainte-Marie church, whose choir dates from the 15th century and the nave of the 18th century, has magnificent frescoes painted around 1400 by an unknown artist. The author left three important works: the Lamb of God located in the center of the vault, the Last Judgment and its 64 characters and the Eucharistic Mill. The latter is the richest and most interesting painting. There are only thirteen churches in the world with such a mill. Eleven of them are in Germany, the other two in northern Alsace including Hohwiller.
The stained-glass windows are by the master glassmaker of Alsace, Tristan Ruhlmann.
