Les Joyeux Vignerons: Concert

Our ensemble, which a decade ago played mainly "Bloosmusik" (folk music with brass, woodwinds and percussion) has grown over the years from around fifteen to around thirty musicians.

Under the baton of Frédéric Schalk, our passionate amateurs, aged from 8 to over 70, are constantly diversifying their repertoire. The program for our concert gives pride of place to genuine "Bloosmusik", performing pieces by Alsatian composers or from the ranks of our ensemble, but also some of the most famous "Blasmusik" hits from Central Europe.

The repertoire has evolved a great deal over the years.

The repertoire has evolved considerably under the impetus of the director and our younger musicians towards more modern pieces ranging from musicals to film music. The strength of our ensemble lies in its diversity, both in terms of the ages of the instrumentalists (the musicians' complicity is a fine example of intergenerational work), and in the diversity of its timbres, including, for certain pieces, alphorns and our great specialty: duet singing. Our traditional music will be enhanced by jokes in Alsatian or French.
